"Visual Hyperbole"

It's not often that we are in at the dawning of a new euphemism but we may just be there.

What do you call using scenes from the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz to falsely claim that Darwin's theory of evolution was somehow implicated in the Holocaust? Why ... "visual hyperbole"!

The rest of the article about a screening of Excreted by Brent Martin at Missourinet is a puff-piece for Stein and the movie (apparently, in some parts of Missouri, it's "a rare treat" to be subjected to propaganda) that is not worth reading.

But new uses of the language to obscure, rather than to illuminate, are always worth noting.
