Palin's Petticoats
Hey! What happened to our "pit bull with lipstick" (as appropriately recorded by Entertainment Tonight, given the fluff of the subject)?As the Los Angeles Times is reporting, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis is demanding "some level of respect and deference" before they will allow press access to the supposedly tough-as-nails governor.
That might be the right approach for a reporter lucky enough to interview McCain's 96-year-old mother, Roberta. (If only our politicians were so plain-spoken.)
But it would be wrong -- and, dare I say it, even sexist -- to suggest that Sarah Barracuda is too meek for a little back-and-forth with the denizens of the Fourth Estate.
Maybe those nails only come with pretty pink polish.
