Everything Is Simple for the Simple-Minded

Stupidity, like life, goes on.

The former goes nowhere in greater strength than in the virtual pages of WingNutDaily. And few, if any, in that august haven of idiocy can match the looney-tunes rantings of Ellis Washington, who considers both Ann Coulter and Michael Savage "intellectuals."

His latest offering is on the "Liberal-Muslim Axis," which is more evil than the Axis Powers of World War II, apparently because the majority of people do not realize it exists, not being privy to the voices in Washington's head. The dire result?

Since the 1860s and the advent of the scientific cult of Darwinian evolution (so essential to the Liberal-Muslim Axis), the Judeo-Christian traditions found in Natural Law philosophy have been meticulously removed from the rule of law. Under perverse notions of fairness, equality, egalitarianism (which is an equality of results), President Obama and his homeland security secretary, Janet Napolitano, as well as their equivalents across the world, force law-abiding citizens to undergo increasingly invasive procedures to board a plane. Every time a Muslim attempts or commits a terrorist attack on an airplane the Liberal-Muslim Axis therefore places more laws on our backs.

Only courageous patriots can ultimately defeat this diabolical Liberal-Muslim Axis. Let us start this New Year with this strategy as our aspiration. Let all red-blooded Americans endeavor to make the Democratic Party into the Whig Party of the 21st century and begin to terrify the terrorists before they lift a hand against our wonderful country.
Damn! Not having access to the voices in Washington's head, I didn't know that George Bush and Dick Cheney were Liberal-Muslim Axis-ees, because they created the Transportation Security Administration, with all its many "invasive procedures" imposed on boarding planes since 9/11.

Nor did I know that all we needed to do to stop terrorism on airplanes was to keep Muslims off them, since everyone else are law-abiding citizens ... not to mention that terrorists are stupid enough to say "Why, yes, I'm a Muslim, why do you ask?" whenever queried on the subject.

As for fairness, equality and egalitarianism being a direct result of evolutionary theory, that seems strange since Washington himself called Darwin a "scientific racist" and decried Darwin's supposed "tragic leap" of thinking "that external differences among the world's racial and ethnic groups necessitated a hierarchy" of value between "the civilized races" and "the savage races," so unlike Washington's characterization of Muslims as terrorists and everyone else as "law-abiding."

Nah, everyone knows that Muslims are all brown and have names like "Muhammed" or "Richard Reid" (no, wait...).

But hey, if these patriots want to start making a fuss at airport security, I won't begrudge them the chance to miss their flight, and spend several hours being detained and cavity-searched in a small room in the bowels of the terminal, and winding up on the no-fly list!

Not to mention that well known Imam, Timothy McVeigh.

... cavity-searched in a small room ...

Assuming they would consder that a bad thing ...

It has to amuse that the same people who think that it is perfectly fine to deny women the right to choose whether or not to bear a child find having to go through an airport scanner some horrible depravation of their rights.

Hmmm.... And here I was, thinking that people that are oppressed and have no other option become terrorists. Putting more pressure on such people hardly seems like a good idea.

As a side line: "engineers are three to four times as likely as other graduates to be present among the members of violent Islamic groups in the Muslim world since the 1970s"*. Most ID supporters are engineers. Interesting correlation, no?

I like how, in the parallel universe that Washington inhabits, "natural law" is sufficient to show that every Muslim must be extensively profiled before being allowed to board an airplane.

I wonder if that argument is similar to Aristotle's argument that some people are naturally suited to being slaves.

depravation

I like "depravation". Sort of a mix of 'depraved' and 'deprived'. (B-)

Unfortunately, mentioning the Bush Administration to these folks is like mentioning something that happened in their early childhood - they just don't remember. They'll read a book written about it by some alpha wingnut, and they'll remember what a glorious time it was.

Why not pass a Law that every traveller whatsoever must have a religious symbol sewed on his clothing (or a tattoo for practicing nudists).

I wonder what symbol to impose on atheists and agnostics ?

Why not pass a Law that every traveller whatsoever must have a religious symbol sewed on his clothing ...

Letssee ... we could start with a yellow Star of David for Jews and a pink triangle for atheists and agnostics (you know they're all gay, right?) ...

Gee willikers, you mean we went through all that effort and expense and fuss and bother with airport security and intelligence gathering in hopes of keeping ourselves safe, but all we really had to do was shout "Boo!" at the terrorists so they'd get scared and immediately run away? Golly! That sounds great!

I hereby volunteer Ellis Washington to parachute into an al Qaeda training camp and see how terrified he can make the terrorists. Make sure to strap a helmet cam on him first - we don't want to miss the exciting results.
