Proverbs 16:18

In a less than surprising result, Kent Hovind, self-identified as "Dr. Dino" and a long-time crusader for young-Earth creationism who conducted hundreds of "seminars" a year, has been convicted of tax fraud, as has his wife. Hovind faces a maximum of 288 years in prison. His wife faces up to 225 years.

Hovind's defense counsel put on no defense, relying on an argument that the prosecution had failed to make out its case beyond a reasonable doubt. The jury only took about 3 hours to convict them of over one hundred counts, which would seem to indicate that the jury found little if any doubt at all.
