The Advantages of a Second Mouth

President Bush issued a statement today that was a clarion call for nations to be good international citizens.
.
Pointing out that the people of nations hope for a prosperous future with greater opportunities for their children, and for a government that fights corruption, respects the rule of law, guarantees the rights of all its citizens, and works toward achieving peace. Furthermore, the President states that the fate and whereabouts of the many missing citizens of other nations who "disappeared" following their arrest during military occupation should be disclosed. Nations should cease their efforts to undermine the sovereignty of other nations by denying the people of those other lands their right to participate in the democratic process free of foreign intimidation and interference.

Strangely, however, President Bush seemed to think he needed to lecture Syria about these things, instead of cleaning up our own act.
