Gold Rushed

Coturnix, Larry Moran and PZ Myearshertz have all taken notice of a relatively new site, Primordial Blog (love that name), authored by Brian, a grade 5, 6, 7 teacher in Ross River, Yukon.
.
He also revealed that his "dream as a child was to get a PhD in Geology, join the ranks of the Institute for Creation Research and prove conclusively that the earth was only 6,000 years old" but got gob-smacked by reality while attending university.

So now he's teaching ... what? ... 10, 11 and 12 year olds? Talk about being gob-smacked! Still, he seems to have kept his sanity so far and he can watch the northern lights while listening to wolves.

How do you watch the northern lights from under your bed, I wonder?

Thanks for the great link John. I've read your blog occasionally over the past year or two and really admire your writing, so it's great to hear from you.

I suddenly feel like I'm a part of a whole blogging community rather than an isolated voice in the wilderness.

Glad to spread the word. And one of the truly great things about the electronic revolution is that now you can be in the wilderness but not be isolated by it.
