Looking Glass Designs

Well, before we leave this magical day, I have time for one more example (out of many possibilities) of how hard it is to tell if the IDeologists are putting us on. Denyse (Accent on the "Deny") O'Leary is over at Uncommon Descent North expounding on why it would be "politically astonishingly naive" for "intelligent design-friendly scientists" to do anything kinda sciencey-like and point out that young-Earth creationists are, scientifically speaking, loony tunes!

It seems that Ol' Deny thinks that IDers, old-Earth creationists and young-Earth creationists should all stick together against "the materialists."

But ID isn't creationism ... nosiree ... It's all about the science ... uh huh ...

It's just close enough to creationism that it wouldn't be politically convenient to be actually concerned about anything as mundane as science.

These people have been channeling Charles Dodgson way too much.

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,
"To play them such a trick,
After we've brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!"
