Pat Robertson is famous for lunatic statements but it seems that if you come within spittin' distance of his CBN network it is contagious. .
An article at the CBN website discusses the history of the Ivy League schools which were once, as was the case of most early universities in America, religious institutions. A new ministry called Christian Union has undertaken a mission to bring a religious revival to the eight Ivy League universities. A Christian radio station owner named Alex Canavan quotes a "prophecy" from Bible teacher Derek Prince in 1972:
And the Lord says that 'when I cause the walls of intellectualism to come tumbling down, then I shall pour out my Spirit upon this whole land.'I'm afraid, if that happens, all that will be pouring out will be drool.
