Mixed Results In Texas

According to this tally of the voting results, there's good news and bad news and so-so news from Texas:

The "biggie" is that Don McLeroy has apparently lost the Republican primary for his seat.

Yeah!

The really bad news is that Ken Mercer has overwhelmingly crushed Tim Tuggey by vote totals that indicate that the Democratic candidate in the district, Dr. Rebecca Bell-Metereau, could have great difficulty matching him in November.

George M. Clayton, the mermaid candidate, has defeated Geraldine "Tincy" Miller, one of the more moderate Republicans on the Texas State Board of Education.

Marsha Farney will be in a runoff with Brian Russell, the loon Cynthia Dunbar handpicked to inherit her seat. I don't know if there is any reason to pick one over the other, however.

Oh, yeah, there were some minor races for governor and such too.
