He doesn't really look as if he's enjoying it, does he? But then I suppose when you get to his age you prefer not to be reminded.
The only portrait/photo of Darwin that I remember that shows him seemingly enjoying anything was the painting of him as a young man (with a companion portrait of Emma) and the one of him as a child with his sister.
Fortunately, we know he had a good and mostly happy life ... punctuated with great tragedy ... or, in other words, pretty much normal.
